Start your first dossier

Start with one person and one clear reason for opening the dossier. The first session doesn't need to capture everything — it just needs enough structure for future sessions to build on.

Your first message

Tell the agent who this is for:

This is for Karan. Let's start a new OpenCareLoop dossier for him.

If that person already has a folder, resume instead of starting over:

This is for Karan. Please resume his existing dossier before asking new questions.

What to have ready

The agent asks in small batches, so you can answer as you go. Helpful first answers:

  • Age or date of birth.
  • Height and current weight, if known.
  • City and country.
  • Preferred language for notes.
  • The main concern, in the person's own words.
  • When it started.
  • Current medicines, doses, and timing.
  • Allergies or bad reactions.
  • Known diagnoses, surgeries, hospitalizations, or major illnesses.
"Unknown" is a real answer

It's fine to say "unknown" or "I need to check." The agent marks missing information as missing — it won't guess, and it won't fill gaps with assumptions.

What you'll have after

By the end of the first session, the dossier holds:

  • A short profile.
  • Current concerns.
  • A dated timeline.
  • Current medicines, plus important past ones.
  • Questions to ask the doctor.

Keep this first version short. It gets more valuable every time you come back with better dates, records, and answers — that's the loop.
